So this project took in total about an entire year to make. After ‘Lowkey’ was release I sort of backed off from music for a bit but then it started to take form around October 2019. Dangi (producer) and Angus (manager) were really pushing to get this track out so all our focus was recording and promoting this track.
We started off with going to a studio to record, mix and master but after completing the project there we realised we wanted a bit of a different artistic vision. We decided to go old school and do a home project. This sound created a much more raw and authentic sound which is what we were looking for. From this, Dangi created a monstrous outro that in all honesty goes HARD! It really showcases his talent and diversity.
then came the time to upload and get it out there but we had problem after problem after problem with our distributor so we ended up changing companies only to have more issues and more delays. Flash-forward to February 14th, Valentine’s Day. It’s release day and nothing is coming up on Spotify. DUN DUNNNN. We ended up having the delay finally resolved on February 20th 2020. This is much later than anticipated but the whole team has learned from this and for the next track everything that went wrong for GAHDAMN (hopefully) will go to plan.
